This explains what we collect from you when you use politisizeitapp.com, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers you, our customer — the separate question of the voter records in our database is answered in “The voter data we sell” below, because it is the part most people actually want to know about.
Who we are
PolitiSizeIt is a trade name of Welzy LLC, a Florida limited liability company. We sell opt-in email marketing data and campaign delivery to political campaigns, committees, consultants and advocacy organizations in the United States. What we collect from you
When you run a count
Running an audience count does not require an account or an email address. We record the targeting criteria you chose, the resulting number, and a visitor identifier derived from your IP address and browser — used to apply daily limits and to stop automated abuse, not to build a profile of you.
When you ask for your data breakdown, sign in, or build a campaign
- Name and email address, which you give us deliberately.
- Organization and phone number, if you choose to provide them.
- A verification code we email you, stored only as a hash and only until it expires.
- Your campaigns — the creative, images, targeting and scheduling you enter.
We do not use passwords. Signing in means proving you control an email address, so there is no password of yours for us to store or to lose.
When you pay
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s systems and never reach ours. We keep the amount, the date, and Stripe’s reference so we can match a payment to an order.
What we do with it
- Deliver what you asked for: counts, breakdowns, campaigns, and support.
- Apply limits and prevent abuse of a service that costs us money per request.
- Contact you about your account, an order, or a campaign you have with us.
- Meet our legal obligations, including records relating to commercial email.
We do not sell your information as a customer. The one advertising-related thing we do is described under “Analytics and advertising” below, and you can switch it off.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of processors, each for one job:
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and bot protection.
- Our audience data and delivery partner — runs the counts and delivers the email.
- Stripe — payments.
- Resend — the email we send you.
- Google — image generation, when you use it. Prompts are sent for generation and we have switched off the retention that would otherwise store them.
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Verification codes: minutes.
- Counts and campaigns: while your account is active, so you can come back to them.
- Order and payment records: as long as tax and commercial-email law requires.
- Your profile: while it exists. Delete it and it goes.
- A profile we hide after a report: it stops being visible immediately. The profile itself is set to private rather than deleted, so nothing you built — your counts, your campaigns — is destroyed by a complaint, and anything taken down by mistake can be put straight back.
- Moderation records: we keep a log of what was removed and why — the decision, not the content — for as long as we operate.
- Anything else: ask us to delete it and we will, subject to those obligations.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email support@politisizeit.com and we will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and a growing list of other states — you may have these rights in law as well as from us. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
The voter data we sell
This is separate from the information above, and it is the part worth reading closely.
Our audience data comes from a licensed third-party data provider and consists of records where the individual opted in to receive commercial email from third parties. We are not the source of that data and we do not control its collection. When you buy a campaign, we never hand you the underlying list: we send your creative to the audience on your behalf, so the records stay with the data provider.
If you are a member of the public who received an email sent through us and want to be removed, use the unsubscribe link in that email — it works, and it is honoured. You can also write to us at support@politisizeit.com and we will pass the request to the data provider and confirm when it is done.
Cookies
We use what is needed to run the site: a session cookie when you sign in, and Cloudflare’s bot-protection cookie. The advertising tags described next set their own cookies only if you have not opted out.
Analytics and advertising
What we keep ourselves. For each visit we record the pages you opened, the page you arrived from, any campaign tag in the link you clicked, the approximate city and state your connection comes from, the name of the network it belongs to, whether you are on a phone or a desktop, and the counts you ran. This is first-party: it stays on our systems, it is not combined with data from anyone else, and it is not sold. We use it to see how people find the app and to follow up with the ones who ask us to.
Ad retargeting. We may load advertising tags from Google, LinkedIn and Meta so that people who visited the app can be shown our ads on those platforms later. Those tags are set by the platforms and are subject to their privacy policies. Under California law this counts as “sharing” personal information, and you have the right to say no.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Use the button below to opt out of ad retargeting on this browser. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, you are opted out automatically and nothing needs pressing. Opting out does not affect the first-party visit record described above, which is not sold or shared with anyone.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sign-in codes are stored hashed. Card data never touches our systems. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.
Children
This is a business service for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, you must be 18 or older to hold an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If we learn we hold information from someone under 18, we delete it and close the account. If you believe a child has given us information, write to support@politisizeit.com — a parent or guardian may make that request on the child's behalf — and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this materially we will update the date above and, if it affects you, email you.
